Spectroscopy innovator Ometric to provide live demonstrations
at PITTCON 2006 featuring SpectrInline Processware™
Demonstrations include real-time, in-line analysis of tablets, blending of powders, highspeed raw material analysis and high-speed liquid analysis
COLUMBIA, S.C. (Mar. 2, 2006) – Spectroscopy innovator Ometric Corporation today announced that it will provide four live demonstrations of real-time, in-line spectroscopy featuring its innovative SpectrInLine Processware™ at PITTCON® 2006. Ometric will be in Hall D, Booth #5657 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. from Monday, March 13 through Thursday, March 16.
Live demonstrations at PITTCON will include:
100% final test of tablet formulation for the pharmaceutical industry: SpectrInline Processware™ performs final tests on tablet formulation at the rate of 5 tablets per second. At such speeds, SpectrInline Processware™ allows testing of up to 18,000 tablets per hour. On a process line producing 100,000 tablets per hour, six SpectrInline™ systems can provide 100 percent final product quality control.
Measurement and monitoring of powder blending: The introduction of SpectrInline Processware™ enables pharmaceutical and other industries to have real-time, in-line control over the mixing of powders. This demonstration monitors instantaneous compound concentration over time to determine the endpoint of mixing.
High-speed raw material analysis: This demonstration of SpectrInline Processware™ focuses on the applicability to general chemical analysis. It provides real-time, in-line measurement and analysis of incoming raw materials, intermediate formulation mixtures, or final product powders.
High-speed liquid analysis: This demonstration illustrates the applicability of SpectrInline Processware™ to raw material inspection, reaction or mixing monitoring or specific component detection. Applications include analysis of liquid-phase mixtures in various industries including chemicals, food and beverage and water treatment.
